Product Review | Curtis & Clarke

Thursday, 27 February 2014
Finally I can say the renovations in my little nest are in full swing. We bought this house and said it was our little project, but Matt has this thing where he’ll start one thing and move onto the next without even finishing.

So I have put down my foot and written a list out of ALL the things that need doing and buying for around the house- gosh the list is getting MASSIVE. But we’re not aloud to start another room or project until the one we started is finished and completed.

These frames have only just been purchased, hence the reason they are empty.

But obviously renovations don’t come cheap and the house can’t be done up in the snap of my fingers. So I have found a few products and items around the house to jazz it up a little until we begin renovations and revamps.

They create lovely items for around your home that will make the entire house smell beautiful. And you can easily swap and change as your senses please. I love the modern look to them and also how they can fit into almost any décor.

My favourite product from the Curtis and Clarke Collections is the
Aromatic Diffuser in Vanilla ($48.95)

I love diffusers as they last longer then most scented products you can buy for your home such as candles and incense. And not only that I don’t think I know a person that doesn’t like the smell of Vanilla- the perfect home smell.

I have a diffuser in the lounge and it keeps my entire house smelling of vanilla. I then also pop a diffuser in my toilet, and even after someone uses the toilet you cannot smell a thing.

Comes in Pomander and also gingerbread (UMMM YUM!!!)

If diffusers aren’t your thing then Curtis and Clarke also make some great candles, and soap which come in these scents..

But the candle I was sent for review purposes was the
Peony and wild berry Scented Crystal Candle ($31.95)

This my friendlies is the BEST fragrance for the home is Summer. The compliments I have received when lighting this candle in the home are endless. Even when I don’t have the lighter lit I can still smell the fragrance.

The crystal candle range is available in the following fragrances:
¨    Black Fig:  A delectable fruity aroma that evokes a seductive & mysterious perfume with background notes of liquorice
¨    Lime apple and guava:  Inspired by green apple orchards, crisp, clean & delicious. A perfume that brings the outdoors, indoors
¨    Peony and wild berry: Peony & wild berry, a modern twist on a great classic. Notes of peach, blackberry & musk create a voluptuous & alluring aroma
¨    White citrus: A delicate fragrance enhanced with sophisticated citrus notes. Green tea, Thyme, Lemon, Jasmine & White Cedarwood create a light fresh fragrance.

I am sure there will be something there you will like if not LOVE <3 o:p="">

Mummy Saviour for those teething tots

Even though I am not pregnant, I think about all the things I will need when we have another baby- I have a little collection already of things for the next one.

It has only been three years since falling pregnant with Madison, but there are SOOO many new and amazing products that I just wished they had out when I was pregnant.

Some products I did not even know about, as I wasn’t blogging back then. Since becoming a Mummy blogger it has opened my eyes to SOOOO many great products for Mums.

One of the products I have a little stash of (thanks to Madhunt Designs) is the MADHUNT NEW MUMS AND BUBS SILICONE JEWELLERY RANGE.

When your child is teething they grab for everything- fingers, arms, toys, hands and jewelry. I have had to quite expensive necklaces ruined thanks to the little ones and teething.

These were around when I had Madison, but at the time they were not real appealing to me and could not see myself wearing them.

MADHUNT Designs have made a range that are not dorky and can be worn with just about any outfit. It's time for mums to bring out their inner fashionista! Coming in an exciting selection of bright colours, this uber stylish and versatile range of necklaces and bangles is ideal for brightening up any scrummy mummy’s wardrobe.
This affordable range is perfect for mums and bubs. And with a special kids' range, there is something for everyone. Lightweight and easy to wash and wear, Madhunt Designs is a fabulous fashion accessory.

These are the two necklaces I love and fit in nicely with my wardrobe. I did also get sent one of their bracelets (or bangles) and although I am not a huge bangles person this will certainly come in handy with the next.

12 bead pastel $38

Small bead design $35

Square bangle $16

I could imagine a little gummy mouth gnawing down on the bangle. Being able to take it off where ever I am to give it to my child in the pram. It is not a small bangle so there is no chocking hazard or anything like that.

All pieces in the Madhunt Designs silicone range are:
• Non toxic
• BPA free
• Totally safe for baby to chew
• Food grade safe silicone
• Totally washable
• Deliciously chewable
With prices starting from $14, Madhunt Designs silicone jewellery range is a perfect gift for any new mum or a mum with a teething baby.

WIN | Tickets to BARBIE LIVE! Melbourne

I’m a Barbie girl in a Barbie world, wrapped in plastic, it’s fantastic. You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere . Imagination, life if your creation!!

Yesterday evening the girls got their pink of for the official Launch of the Barbie Live Musical Tour, which hits town in April!! ALSO this was the AUSTRALIAN Premier of a BRAND NEW Barbie DVD, which is released in 2 weeks. So I will pre-warn you this post will be FULL of pretty pink photos, and big smiles.

The event was held at the famous Fox FM Rooftop, which is in South Melbourne.

As soon as we stepped out of the elevator we were greeted by Barbie and allowed to walk the pink carpet.

Once you turned the corner from walking the pink carpet we were left with our jaws on the ground with the amount of pink there was around us.

There were nail bars and hair bars set up as soon as you turned the corner-  so this is where the girls started their Barbie journey- this was of course after they got over the fact they just had their photo taken with a REAL LIFE BARBIE!!

The most of the evening for Madison was spend at the drawing table, colouring in some beautiful Barbie pictures.  But if she wasn’t there she was hovering around the Pretty Pink Lolly Bar.

We had our photos taken in the photobooth, which ended up being loads of fun.

The Mini Cinema- Photo courtesy of FOX FM

But the main attraction of the afternoon was a super cute Mini cinemas for the little ones to be apart of the Official AUSTRALIAN PREMIER of a NEW DVD from Barbie- Barbie The Pearl Princess, with popcorn and refreshments. Hayley loved this as it was a parent FREE zone, I also loved this as it gave me the chance to really take in the surroundings and admire the city behind us.

It hit about 6pm and the girls also hit a pink brick wall, they were pooped. So it was time to pack up and hit the long road home, which Mummy was also looking forward to as the girls were given a goodie bag to keep them occupied (and quiet) in the car.

But after yesterday I CANNOT wait to bring my childhood dreams to life in April, and now I can also share this with my 5 year old daughter who is also slightly Barbie obsessed. I used to collect Barbie’s and mum bought me super special ones that were kept in a case. I am not sure how or why but I don’t have them anymore.. I think maybe there were stolen when our house was broken into as a child (shattering as a little girl.)

You would have seen this post on my blog not too long ago :

But now I actually have the tickets in my hand and it has become real to me… I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO BARBIE. Not only am I going to Barbie but I am going to the Gala Pink Carpet Premier- eh who said “red carpets” were the best, give me a pink one any day.

Apart of me wants to get dressed up in all pink with heels, that are not meant to be walked in, but the other part tells me sensible is best… I’m think I will still go with a Barbie pink dress though and a little more reasonable footwear. My daughter Hayley on the other hand will be going all out, with her dress up Barbie dress and accessories.
